اغلب بیماران می پندارند که درد قفسه (Chest Pain) نشانگر به سکته قلبی است. البته الزاماً این طور نیست، درد ممکن است منشا ریوی، معده - روده ای، روانی یا ماهیچه ای - استخوانی داشته باشد، وقتی دو مورد و یا بیشتر از آن با هم همراه شوند، علائم بروز می کند. همه اینها تشخیص درد سینه را مشکل می سازد. فقط با جداکردن علائم فردی و بیماریهای مربوط به آن می توانید یک تصویر تشخیصی معین و واضحی را ترسیم کنید.
